 Joana Amendoeira enchanted the audience of St. George's
Castle (Lisbon), on the last Saturday, added to the Fado Festival.
To an audience filled, Joana did shine the shortest night of the year.
In a scene so spectacular of the city, we could only expect a brilliant
result. Thus happened.
In this show, the fado singer presented its new project and set "Mar
Ensemble," which has strings, accordion and blows, in addition to their
musicians of ever.
The night began with the Fado "Fado Côr do Sentimento ", in a music and lyrics of Fernando Girão.
Joana Amendoeira has completely c aptivated the entire audience here,
from the first to the last minute. The highest point of the evening was
for us in the wonderful and brilliant interpretation of Fado Lopes,
with a letter of Natália Correia, where the fado singer did an amazing
game of singing and sounds with their musicians, and especially with
Pedro Amendoeira, guitarist and his brother.
The night ended with "encores", in which she also sang "Canção Grata"
in sign of gratitude to the public for the affection and enthusiasm
demonstrated.
Brilliant were also its usual companions, Pedro Amendoeira (Portuguese
guitar), Pedro Pinhal (Viola of Fado) and Paulo Peace (bass).
Joana is only 25 but this age, I have never known anyone with an
interpretative capacity so spectacular, a voice so beautiful and with
such deep feelings. Until the next.
